The Optima is Kia’s midsize sedan that is redesigned in the middle of the 2006 model year with updated styling, improved safety and more performance. The all-new Kia Optima continues Kia’s string of new models by offering a smartly styled new midsize sedan with very impressive levels of standard equipment, performance, and safety coupled with competitive pricing. Exterior styling is crisp and modern, with shorter front and rear overhangs, wheels pushed toward the corners, a longer wheelbase and wider track than its predecessor, resulting in more interior volume than segment leaders including Honda Accord, Toyota Camry and Nissan Altima. The Optima joined the Kia lineup for 2001, adding a larger, more luxurious car to Kia’s compact cars and SUVs.
