The Rio is Kia’s entry-level sedan which is redesigned for the 2006 model year. For 2007 the Rio adds the four-door SX to its lineup. The Rio is one of the lowest priced sedans sold in America, but Kia strives to offer a full-feature vehicle with a stylish appearance. Kia first entered the U.S. market in 1994 with the Sephia, however, the first Kia sold in the U.S. was actually the Ford Festiva, which Kia built for Ford from 1987 to 1992.
The 2007 Kia Rio receives revised 14- and 15-inch alloy wheel designs, new manual and automatic transmission shift knobs, chrome Kia logo on steering wheel center pad and the addition of an illuminated ignition surround. A new SX four-door is added to the lineup featuring front fog lights, 15-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler, metal-finish interior trim, metal pedals, unique black mesh sport fabric inserts with red highlights and red accent stitching on the door panels, chrome accents on instrument panel air vents and leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. Also new 16-inch alloy wheels are optional for the SX.
