2007 Hyundai Elantra

Hyundai’s best-selling model in America, the Elantra compact sedan was first imported to the U.S. for 1991. The model was redesigned for 2001 when the GT trim was added, and Elantra received styling updates for 2004. The all-new 2007 Elantra is the seventh model from Hyundai in just 24 months with a new design from headlight to taillight, more safety features and interior space. Available in GLS, SE and Limited trims, the Elantra has an all-new chassis with a fully independent suspension with a body that’s up to 49 percent stiffer.
New for 2007
The 2007 Hyundai Elantra is wider and taller than its predecessor featuring an all-new chassis with a fully independent suspension, front and rear stabilizer bars and motor-driven rack-and-pinion steering, and the body is up to 49 percent stiffer. Styled with a more assertive front end, rising beltline, and sculpted body side, the exterior is highlighted by chrome headlight bezels and grille bars, body-colored door handles and mirrors, body-colored rear license plate garnish and integrated bumper fascia, and the taillights echoes the theme of the headlights. A standard power braking system has front and rear discs with a four-sensor, four-channel ABS that includes Electronic Brake Force Distribution. Heated front seats and steering-wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls and telescoping adjustment are available for the first time. A smooth four-speed automatic with a new gated console-mounted floor shifter is available as an option and includes an overdrive lock-up torque converter for higher fuel economy at freeway speeds.
