2007 Hyundai Veracruz

Making its debut at the 2007 North American International Auto Show, the Hyundai Veracruz is a midsize crossover that adds luxury and performance. Hyundai positions the Veracruz as an alternative to luxury crossovers and has a starting price of under $30,000—the company’s highest priced SUV. The Veracruz is 6 inches longer, overall, and 2.2 inches wider than the Santa Fe and it comes standard with three rows of seats for seven passengers. With a solid and smooth stance, the front of the Veracruz houses the Hyundai flying-H logo complemented by wraparound headlights. The rear fascia blends into the sides of the taillights with a rear spoiler and dual chrome exhaust tips giving it a sporty look. The Veracruz comes in three trim levels: GLS, sporty SE and premium Limited.
New for 2007
The 2007 Hyundai Veracruz is powered by the same engine as the Azera—a 260-horsepower 3.8-liter DOHC V6 engine that delivers 257 lb-ft of torque. The GLS rides on 17-inch wheels while the SE and Limited ride on 18-inchers. Standard with front-wheel drive, the Veracruz features the Intelligent Torque Controlled Coupling AWD system that can provide a 50/50 torque ratio for better traction with a touch of a button. The interior has been designed for more quietness and more versatility with Hyundai’s Hideaway third-row seat. The GLS and SE receive a standard AM/FM/XM/CD/MP3 audio system that includes an amplifier and six speakers. A 315-watt Infinity AM/FM/XM/CD-changer/MP3 audio system with subwoofer and external amplifier is standard on the Limited. Standard safety equipment includes Electronic Stability Control, six airbags including side-curtain airbags for all three rows of seats and active front head restraints. Other notable features include rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming mirrors, backup warning system and a power liftgate.
