Peugeot


Peugeot presented, in the County of Jujuy, Argentina, the 307 Sedan, that comes to complete the family of medium-compact of the factory in Brazil–composed, besides the hatch, by convertible CC and for the perua SW. Manufactured in Palomar, also in the neighboring country, the model will be for sale starting from August 24.
As in the hatch, they are three versions: Présence, Feline and Griffe. The first, of entrance, arrives for R$ 54.700,00 and he/she will just have a motor option, the flexible 1,6-litro 16 valves in fuel (it rotates with gasoline, alcohol or any mixture of both) of respective 110/113 cv. For intermediary Feline and Griffe, of top, the motor of 2 liters will also be offered the gasoline of 16 valves, of 143 cv, with variable command of valves for the admission.
The prominence is due to the level of series equipments. From the basic version they are present brakes to disk in the four wheels, with ABS, electronic distribution of the frenagem forces and aid to the emergency frenagem; double airbag; air conditioning; electric glasses in the four doors, with command a-touch; and you join electric with automatic acionamento (reached 10 km/h).
For Feline they are acrescidos air conditioning with two resfriamento zones; play-cd with command satellite in the direction column; retrovisor eletrocrômico and the option of automatic exchange of 4 marches, with command seqüencial.
The version Griffe counts with covered banks of leather; play-cd with capacity for 6 disks, inserted in the panel; solar roof with electric acionamento and kit Bluetooth of communication without-thread with cellular. It will just be offered with automatic exchange and he/she brings sensor of aid to the parking in the back bumper.
Built on the same platform of the hatch, the 307 Sedan has identical distance entreeixos: 2,61 meters. It is distant of some competitive models, like Honda Civic (2,70 m) and Renault Mégane (2,69 m). Although the engineering has been efficient in getting good use of the internal space, the numbers don't lie: there is less comfort for the passengers in Peugeot, compared to the competition.
The sedã grew 26,7 cm in length, compared to the hatch. The front brings the same drawing adopted in the line in the beginning of the year. The back already has more conservative lines, even so you pleased. The lanterns use conventional lamps, instead of most efficient LEDs (issuing diodes of light).
In agreement with Peugeot, the 307 Sedan reaches 204 km/h of maximum speed in the version 2-litros with manual exchange, accelerating of 0 to 100 km/h in 9,7 seconds. With automatic exchange, it arrives to 203 km/h and it is going from the immobility to 100 km/h in 10,7 s. The 1,6-litro arrive to 186 kmh, reaching 100 km/h in 12,6 seconds.
He/she brings the same configuration of suspensions of the hatch, independent in the front type McPherson and for torsion axis in the back. To the steering wheel, it showed that inherits of the model of which derives the efficiency in overcoming irregularities in the floor and disposition for a more sporting conduction. During the evaluation course, in the space of successive curves, the 307 sedã exhibited neutral behavior, in spite of the largest weight in the back–they are 90 kg in the version with automatic exchange (1.384 kg) and 81 kg in the with automatic box (1.411 kg). He/she remained to know like him he/she will behave with the great full trunk.
Its trunk, in fact, presented as other prominence, it generates polemic. The factory stands out the 623 liters of capacity, that would turn it from a distance the largest of the segment. However that value is only obtained in a hypothetical situation of filling all and any space of the compartment–with water, for example. For the method VDA, that uses rectangular blocks and he/she resembles each other to the conventional use, they are 506 liters. It is still a great number–and he/she should stand out the fact of Peugeot to declare both numbers, illuminating the obtaining methods of each one of them. Nor all the factories make that, opting for the most favorable value.
Its direction has weight and answer ideals, with perfect operation of the attendance eletroidráulica. The automatic exchange, of 4 marches, also exhibition good operation, but it could be better, case was adopted to 5 march–as in competitive Honda Civic and Renault Mégane 2-litros, mentioned above. That change certainly would bring more agility to the sedã Peugeot–that has good tank of fuel, with 60 liters.
The variation of the admission valves in the motor of 2 liters provides more elasticity to the motor, eliminating the need of march reductions in retakings of speed. That characteristic, however, it is more easily noticed with the manual box. It competes for the good acting the torque of 20 kgfm to 4.000 rpm, a good regime, being considered the fact of being a motor multivalvulado. In the motor of smaller cylinder capacity, the values of 15,5 kgfm (alcohol) and 14,2 kgfm (gasoline) they also appear to 4.000 rpm.
The expectation of Peugeot is to sell 3.200 units of the 307 Sedan in 2006, divided in 640 of Presence, 640 for Feline with manual exchange and 1.920 of Feline and Griffe with automatic exchange.
