Introduction
The XK Series includes Jaguar’s grand touring coupes and convertibles and is all-new for 2007. The most technically advanced Jaguar ever to be built, the 2007 XK uses the latest aerospace technologies alongside more traditional Jaguar skills to create a luxurious, powerful, highly advanced sports car with an aluminium monocoque body structure that is 31 percent stiffer than its predecessor with a 10 percent improvement in power to weight ratio. When the XK Series debuted as a 1997 model, the XK8 replaced the XJS, ending the 21-year run for the XJS. The XK8 was the spiritual descendant of the legendary E-Type and XK120, and featured Jaguar’s first use of a V8 engine. The supercharged XKR was added for 2000.
New for 2007
The all-new 2007 Jaguar XK is offered as both a coupe and a convertible, powered by a 300-horsepower 4.2-liter V8 engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission that incorporates steering wheel paddles for manual shifting.
