2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee


Introduction
The Grand Cherokee is Jeep’s premium midsize SUV and the flagship of the Jeep brand, aimed at the upscale sport-utility buyer. It was introduced in 1992, and in 1993 became the first in its class to offer a V8 engine. In 1999, the Grand Cherokee was redesigned for the first time in its history. The all-new third-generation Grand Cherokee debuted for the 2005 model year.
New for 2007
The 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee receives some interior and exterior updates that include narrow molded-in-color black body molding and body-color door handles for the Laredo and revised rear taillights and brushed aluminum stainless steel front sill guards on Overland. The interior is fitted with an improved finish on upper instrument panel, color-keyed interior color cupholders, cut and sew padded vinyl center armrest on Limited and the Laredo receives a color-matching center console bezel, chrome accent HVAC knobs and chrome rings on instrument gauges. A new 3.0-liter Common Rail Diesel engine with Dana 44 axle in 2WD models is added and a flexible fuel version of the 4.7-liter SOHC V8 is available. On Limited, Overland and SRT8, a remote start is standard and optional on Laredo. New safety equipment includes standard side-curtain airbags, active turn signals that feature “3-Blink Lane Change,” optional ParkSense Rear Back-up System on Laredo and ParkView Rear Backup Camera is standard on SRT8 and optional on Laredo and Limited.
