2007 Jeep Patriot

Introduction
The Patriot is a new compact SUV from Jeep that shares a platform with the Compass compact SUV but offers more traditional Jeep styling and off-road capability. The Patriot is based on the Jeep Patriot concept first introduced at the 2005 International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt. The Patriot combines the packaging and interior flexibility of an SUV with the performance, handling, fuel economy and price of a compact car.
New for 2007
The 2007 Jeep Patriot is offered in Sport and Limited trim levels and is powered by a 172-horsepower 2.4-liter World Engine with either a standard 5-speed manual transaxle or an optional second-generation Continuously Variable Transaxle (CVT2). A 158-horsepower 2.0-liter World Engine is available for Patriot Sport 2-wheel drive with CVT2. Standard safety equipment includes ABS, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Electronic Roll Mitigation and side-curtain airbags. Patriot is available with three drive configurations: front-wheel drive, Freedom Drive I (full-time, active four-wheel-drive system with Lock mode) and Freedom Drive II Off-road Package (full-time, active four-wheel-drive system with low ratio).
